During the past 20 years, Fishabout has been dedicated to serving our friends in the angling community. It has been our goal to provide the highest quality of service available, while continuing to find unique fishing destinations. After all, that is what makes the business fun for us, exploring new locations and developing new fishing programs based on the interests of our angling clientele.
When Kay Mitsuyoshi and Howard McKinney founded this business in 1989, it was decided at that time that if we could not create a service based on a high quality of ethics and integrity from the very start, it wouldn’t be done. We chose the route of slow growth, relying mostly on word of mouth from customer to customer to build the business.
With the help of our many associates, group leaders, instructors, travel professionals and technical experts, Fishabout has grown to a comfortable size, with a clientele of regularly returning customers and a steady stream of new anglers that have heard about our service.
We have always taken pride in providing something for almost every angler, based on skill level, physical ability or price range. Our hosted trips and clinics create an excellent opportunity to introduce new anglers to the sport with complete consultation, pre-trip preparation and tackle assistance.
