There have been more I.G.F.A. records broken in Pinas Bay than anywhere else in the world! Tropic Star Lodge is a veritable paradise cut out of the jungle on the edge of Panama's Pacific coast. A fleet of 31' Bertram sportfishing cruisers hunt the fish-rich waters of Pinas for black, blue and striped marlin and pacific sailfish. Dorado, rainbow runner, snapper, tuna, grouper, amberjack, roosterfish and mackeral all wait to test your skills. Captains and crews are experts at teasing billfish for fly and light tackle. The accommodations are comfortable air-conditioned cabins with private baths. After fishing, relax around the pool or veranda with a cool tropical drink and appetizers, then finish your day with a sumptuous five course dinner. The cabins and dining room offer a spectacular view of the bay. The season starts in mid December and runs through July. Whether you come early to fish for monster blacks and blues or later in the season for sailfish, your highest expectations will be met at Tropic Star Lodge.
