Anglers fly to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo airport where they clear customs and immigration. 

 **As of January 1, 2007 it is required that all visitors have an up to date U.S. Passport for travel to Mexico.**

The Hotel Villa Mexicana is about 15 minutes away from the airport by taxi.  The hotel sits right on the nicest beach in Zihuatanejo.  White soft sand and gentle waves make for great swimming. Just next to the hotel is a nice open air restaurant.  Another excellent open air restaurant and sports bar is a short walk down the beach.  The sunsets over the Bay are magical.

We fish with a fleet of 31' - 34' cruisers.  All of them are boats that we have worked with for years. We request specific boats for our angling clients. All of the captains and crews  are familiar with fly-fishing for sailfish, light tackle bait & switch and heavy tackle marlin fishing.

Conventional gear is supplied by the boats.  It is of good quality and maintained well.  Fly fishermen will need to bring their own fly rods and flies, but all of the other tackle is included in the charter price.

The town of Zihuatanejo has a wide variety of restaurants from our favorite open air taco restaurant "Braseros",  mid range restaurants with excellent food like "Las Garrobos" or fine dining at "Coconuts".

The town has great shopping for Mexican art so non fishing wives will enjoy  this trip as well.
