Angling guests fly to San Jose Costa Rica, are picked up and transferred to overnight in a hotel of their choice. The next morning they are picked up and transferred to the airport for their domestic flight to Barra Colorado.

After breakfast and a quick fishing orientation they meet their guide and fish till lunch. Each day starts early with breakfast, out on the water early for a few hours of fishing the best morning hours, in for lunch, fishing stories and a nap or a swim in the pool, then back out for the afternoon and evening fishing. In addition, if you choose, or on days when the surf is high at the rivermouth, you can go into jungle lagoons and fish for guapote, machaca and moharra, while monkeys and parrots watch you from the trees above.

The rooms are 450 square feet with 2 queen size beds, rod racks and walk in closets. The rooms boast 12 foot ceilings made of wild cane. The walls are constructed of tongue and groove hardwoods. The bathrooms are fully tiled and each room has its own hot water heater and coffee maker for early risers. All of the rooms are air conditioned.

The lodge’s gourmet chef serves 5 star cuisine, and the bar is always open. In addition there is an internet salon for those who need to stay in touch from the jungle.
