Anglers fly into Manaus Brazil, where they are met and transferred to the float plane for their flight over the jungle canopy to the desinated river where the floating camps are located. When the trip is over, they fly back to Manuas and depending on the schedule overnight in the Hotel Tropical. The River Plate advantage is that they have several of these floating camps in different parts of the drainages, so if one river's water level is not optimum for fishing another camp can be used while the camp there is being moved to the best part of the river, or to another river.
Fishing is done from comfortable river boats with gas outboards and electric motors (used to maneuver in the lagoons quitely). The camps are kept close enough to the fishing that you will not need to take excessively long boat rides to the fishing. The guides are knowledgeable and and although few speak English, the language of fishing is seldom a problem. The camps are managed by Brazilian families who take great pride in providing great meals and service in the jungle surroundings. They will oversee your comfort and safety while staying with them
It is necessary to obtain a travellers Visa to enter Brazil. This can be done though the Brazilain Embassy closest to you or through many of the Visa Services available here in the U.S.
